The Coalition for Green Development on the Belt and Road will help build an international platform to share environment policies and experiences among the countries involved in the Belt and Road and also promote wide cooperation. "There was a time not long ago when renewable energy was not considered economically feasible. With technological improvement and scale, Chinese leading solar PV manufacturers such as JinkoSolar have successfully brought down the cost of solar power which now beats coal fired power on cost. ?The promotion and deployment of solar energy in more and more belt road countries will not only help them to realize energy transition but also develop a sustainable low carbon economy and create millions of new jobs." Commented Ms. Dany Qian, the Vice President of JinkoSolar. ? And in recent years, JinkoSolar has been leading the way to provide clean and affordable solar power products, increasing production investment and projects’ development in belt road countries. Evidence of these can be seen in Malaysia, where JinkoSolar has built and operated the largest overseas solar PV factory of this kind in terms of capacity and technology adopted. In addition to two factories in Malaysia and South Africa, JinkoSolar has developed a number of solar plants along the belt road. Among which, the milestone project is 1.17GW, the world’s largest single solar project with record breaking cost. Such massive investment in development on this scale has been never seen before. We will seize this opportunity from the Belt and Road initiative and forge intensive partnership with all players in energy power sector in these regions." "Climate change and rising demand for energy are not a single country's problem. These are global challenges. So they must be tackled collectively by working together. Now it is the time to do it right and make Belt and Road as green as possible." Added Ms. Dany Qian. ?
